Caroline Farrell – Screenwriter & Producer

Caroline Farrell (2)Caroline has written several published short stories. Many of her screenplays have been shortlisted for awards, including LADY BETH at The London Independent Film Festival 2013 and THE BOOK CROSS, The Irish Film Board Gearscannain, 2012. Her fantasy feature screenplay, PIXER KNOWS, won the Atlantis Award for best family fantasy screenplay at the 2011 Moondance Film Festival. She was also a finalist in the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards 2010, and took second prize at the Waterford Film Festival in the same year. Caroline has written and co-produced ADAM, a short film, selected to screen at the Clones Film Festival and the 7th Waterford Film Festival this year.

Marie-Valerie Jeantelot – Director, Producer & Editor

Marie-Valerie Jeantelot, has been living in Ireland for most of her life. She has just completed her BA in Film & TV production at the National Film School where she specialised in editing. She has produced, directed and edited a variety of videos in the last few years; a short documentary Brown Gold made in 2010 as well as several music and promotional videos. Her aim with In Ribbons has been to create an evocative depiction of this little girl’s journey with an emphasis on sound design and visuals being key in a film which is entirely free from dialogue.

Caitriona Costello – Producer

Caitríona Costello is an independent film producer she set up Red Splash Productions in 2011. She has produced short films, a feature documentary and currently a feature film.

Caitríona has a background in business and accounting. She has worked in the financial departments of companies in Dublin and Toronto. She also has a degree in Media Production Management and a knowledge of the independent film Industry.

 

 

 

 

 

 Tom Dowling – Line Producer

Tom holds a degree in Project Management. He has 21 years experience working in the Irish film industry. For most of those years he has been responsible for scheduling, budgeting and health & safety procedures in the art departments of many major feature films, such as, Michael Collins, In America, Becoming Jane, Laws of Attraction, The Old Curiosity Shop, Adam and Paul, Omagh, as well as a number of TV series, such as Ballykissangel and Bachelor’s Walk. Over the years Tom has worked alongside Academy Award winner for Set Decoration, Josie MaCavin, and with two Academy Award winning Production Designers – Gianni Quaranta and Brian Auckland-Snow, as well as three other Production Designers who were nominated, Anthony Pratt, Nathan Crowley and Eve Stewart. Recently, his time has been divided between working in theatre as well as film. Making projects happen and keeping them on track drives him forward. In Ribbons will be his first venture as Line Producer and he is both excited and delighted to be working with such a very dynamic team.
A regular blogger, Tom was a finalist in the Blog Awards Ireland 2012, and curated the @Ireland twitter account for World Irish during the 2012 Galway Film Fleadh.

 Basil Al-Rawi – Cinematographer

Cinematographer BASIL AL-RAWI is a graduate of the National Film School at IADT. He has worked as a cinematographer on a variety of projects, artist films, commissions, shorts, music videos and a feature film. His most recent work was as DOP and Photographer on Mark McLoughlin’s BLOOD RISING, the closing film at JDIFF 2013.

Other films he has worked on have been selected for the Cork Film Festival (Scratch) Darklight Festival (Summer in Dublin) IFI Stranger Than Fiction Documentary Festival (The Day I Saw You) and JDIFF, amongst others. He co-produced and shot OPUS K, an independent Irish feature film which premiered in Galway in 2011 and showed as part of the IFIʼs Ireland on Sunday season.

His photographic work is not confined to the moving image; Basil has exhibited photographic series during the PhotoIreland Festival in 2011 and multiple shows in the UK. His photographic work has been published in Der Greif, Der Speigel, LandEscape Art Review and Beta magazine. Basil holds an MA (2012) in Photographic Studies from the University of Westminster.

 Amy O’Neill – Make-up Artist

Amy is based at Make Up For Ever, with clients from the fashion and celebrity world that include Georgia Salpa and Katy Price. She has worked on shoots for Expose, Fred Perry, TV Now, Stellar, Kiss, RTE Guide, and most recently for ADAM, the short film. She also specializes in body art and theatrical make-up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Elga Hick – Costume & Set Dressing

IMG_0512Elga Hick is a Dublin based Fashion Graduate currently working as a Costume Designer/ Set Dresser for Film, Television, Stage and Media Events. She Graduated as a Multi Award Winner from The Grafton Academy of Dress Design in 2000 and continued to Tutor there for a further 10 years in Night Classes. Elga has worked in Design rooms in Dublin such as Regin & Libra Designs. She played a major role in setting up the Children’s Wear Size Specs whilst working as a Garment Technologist for Heatons Ltd. This Innovative Business Woman Went Free Lance in early 2013 and now Trades as “The Reel Fit Costume Company”.
